It’s no secret that the transition from gasoline-powered vehicles to battery-powered ones is ongoing, and the most prominent example of this move within the Cadillac range is the now-discontinued Cadillac XT4 compact luxury crossover, which is being indirectly replaced by the Cadillac Optiq.
We recently showed you the very last Cadillac XT4 to ever roll off the assembly line at the Fairfax plant in Kansas, which was for sale at the Park Lane Cadillac dealership in Ontario, Canada. Luckily, there’s still quite a few new XT4 units remaining in U.S. dealer inventory.
Cadillac’s official inventory tool indicates that there are still more than 2,000 brand new XT4 units for sale at dealerships throughout the country. A portion of those, 330 units – to be exact, are 2024 model-year vehicles, while the remaining 1,685 are newer 2025 models. That said, it seems there’s still plenty to go around for shoppers eager to purchase one of Cadillac’s last ICE-powered compact utilities.
Frugal consumers will certainly want to consider leftover 2024 XT4s as we’ve observed some rather hefty dealer discounts for such vehicles. For instance, Bomnin Cadillac in Homestead Florida is advertising nearly $9,000 off a 2024 XT4 Premium Luxury model plus any applicable manufacturer rebates. The same dealer is also showing over $6,000 off 2025 units. Of course, buyers will need to confirm these prices and discounts with the dealer, though the discounts do align with price cuts observed at other dealerships across the nation.
Buyers who would prefer vehicles with internal combustion engines over EVs should note that the luxury marque may have changed its mind about the XT4’s larger stablemate, the XT5. Like the XT4 and XT6, the XT5 was set to be phased out after the 2025 model year. However, recent whispers tell us that it might stick around longer than originally anticipated, and might even end up being replaced by a new model.
Production of the XT5 will continue at the Spring Hill plant alongside the Lyriq and Vistiq, while adding the Chevy Blazer – a model from Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors. For the sake of reference, the Lyriq is a battery electric replacement to the XT5, while the Vistiq serves that role for the three-row XT6.
Only 26 units of the 685-horsepower sedan will be built.
U.S. production of the crossover ended in January of 2025.
