The fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade kicked off with the 2021 model year, debuting a complete overhaul for the luxury marque’s most popular and most recognizable nameplate. While a midcycle refresh is on its way for the full-size luxury SUV for the 2025 model year, today, we’re shining a light on the current Escalade – the one you can actually buy today – in the following Cadillac Society live photo gallery.
This particular Cadillac Escalade is a Sport Platinum trimmed model, one of the highest-tiered trims available. It boasts all features from the Sport trim level plus a bunch of features added by the higher-tier Sport Platinum trim.
On the outside, we see the Sport mesh grille, which features a Gloss Black finish as opposed to the chrome brightwork found on the Luxury trimmed models. That theme is carried throughout the exterior in the Gloss Black front fascia, window trim, bodyside molding, running boards, liftgate trim, and exhaust bezels out back.
All these Gloss Black accents meld perfectly with this particular model’s Black Raven (paint code GBA), creating a sinister, imposing road presence. Also of note are the 22-inch 12-spoke polished wheels with Dark Android finish (production code SMD), which are standard on the Cadillac Escalade Sport and Escalade Sport Platinum.
Meanwhile, the Escalade Sport Platinum features the following equipment that is not found on the Escalade Sport:
- Full Semi-Aniline leather seats
- Leather-wrapped instrument panel, console and upper door trim
- Sueded microfiber headliner and door pillar trim
- 16-way power driver and front-passenger heated and ventilated seats with lumbar and massage function
- AKG Studio Reference 36-speaker sound system
- Air Ride Adaptive Suspension
- Rear Seat Entertainment system
- Adaptive Cruise Control
Additionally, note that this Cadillac Escalade sports a “600” badge on the liftgate. This indicates that that this Cadillac Escalade Sport is fitted with the naturally-aspirated 6.2L V8 (production code L87) gasoline engine, which is capable of 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
