Refreshed 2025 Audi Q7 Unveiled As Cadillac XT6 Rival

The refreshed 2025 Audi Q7, a direct rival to the Cadillac XT6, was recently revealed with an updated exterior plus a variety of updated infotainment features.

Up front, the refreshed 2025 Audi Q7 features the German brand’s signature eight-point grille and a reworked lower spoiler, while eliminating several exterior decorative elements to create a cleaner look overall. Out back, the diffuser gets reworked with functional exhaust tips. Five new wheel options ranging from 20 to 22 inches are now available as well.

Inside, the 2025 Audi Q7 is fitted with a plethora of infotainment features facilitated through the Audi App Store, which allows customers to download applications such as Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube and more. Audi will also provide its own in-house safety features such as Traffic Light Information (TFI) for three years at no extra cost, along with a complimentary six-month trial for streaming services and Wi-Fi capabilities.

As for power, the base 2025 Q7 45 harnesses the VW Group’s turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine good for 261 horsepower. The Audi Q7 55, meanwhile, features the turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine capable of 335 horsepower. Pricing starts at $60,500.

Comparatively, the 2025 Cadillac XT6 is headed into its sixth model year without any major changes or updates, which means that it’s stayed the same since its introduction for the 2020 model year. Like the Q7, the XT6 offers two engine options. The first is the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), good for 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available exclusively in the base Luxury trim, where it is standard. The naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production code LGX), rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, is standard on Premium Luxury and Sport models.

The 2024 Cadillac XT6 Luxury has a starting MSRP of $52,190 in the U.S.

It’s also worth noting that Audi unveiled the refreshed 2025 Audi SQ7, which is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine capable of 500 horsepower. Currently, Cadillac does not offer a direct rival to the SQ7.
