Though the Cadillac XT4 is the most affordable choice in the luxury marque’s lineup of crossover SUVs, the model’s average transaction price (ATP) increased slightly during Q4 2023.
According to a recent report from Cox Automotive, consumers paid an average of $46,715 for the XT4 during Q4 2023, up 2.9 percent year-over-year. In the same time period, sales of the luxury crossover slipped 28 percent, moving just 4,900 units and representing the most significant decline among Caddy vehicles.
Comparatively, the average transaction price of a Cadillac vehicle increased five percent to $73,239 as sales slipped seven percent to 36,378 units due to supply issues stemming from several UAW strikes at the end of the 2023 calendar year.
As a reminder, the 2024 model year XT4 received a much-needed midcycle refresh highlighted by an updated grille and new LED lighting signatures at the front of the luxury crossover. Out back, the refreshed XT4 gets a reworked rear fascia with new reflectors and exhaust finishers.
Perhaps the biggest change was to the cockpit of the 2024 Cadillac XT4, which was completely overhauled to make room for the new 33-inch high-resolution LED color touchscreen display, lifted directly from the Cadillac Lyriq. A host of premium technologies is also present, such as a Wi-Fi hotspot that now runs on 5G connectivity, replacing 4G included with prior model years, along with an optional top-notch AKG sound system.
Super Cruise is not offered just yet, but – as previously reported by Cadillac Society – photos of an XT4 with a Super Cruise steering wheel indicate that the semi-autonomous driver assist feature will be offered on the XT4 sooner rather than later.
In North America, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 retains the pre-refresh model’s single engine option – the turbocharged 2.0L I4 (production code LSY). The boosted gasoline four-cylinder is rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This engine mates exclusively to Cadillac’s nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard while all-wheel-drive is optional. Production of the luxury crossover, which is underpinned by the luxury marque’s E2 platform, takes place at the Fairfax plant in Kansas.
