The year-long celebration for the 20th anniversary of high-performance Cadillac V-Series vehicles continues with the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, which gains three Mondrian Edition packages. These exclusive packages, dubbed Arrival Edition, Elevation Edition and Impact Edition, include unique exterior and interior accents, including a serialized plaque. Below, Cadillac Society details how to read the serialize plaque on a 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Mondrian Edition.
The first digit in the plaque will always be a “4,” indicating that a particular model is part of the Collector’s Series No. 4, which is the number assigned to the Mondrian Edition packages. This is followed by a dash and a “5,” which identifies it as a CT4-V Blackwing Special Edition vehicle, which is then followed by either “1” to denote an automatic transmission or a “6” for manual transmissions.
After the dash, the next digit represents which of the three Mondrian Edition packages a particular CT4-V Blackwing is outfitted with. Number 1 represents the Arrival Edition, 2 is for Impact Edition and 3 is for Elevation Edition. Finally, the last three digits match the last three of the CT4-V Blackwing’s VIN, up to number 066, as only 66 of each Mondrian Edition variant will be built.
The 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Mondrian Edition models do not feature any performance enhancements over their “regular” counterparts, meaning they retain the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 engine (production code LF4) in the “regular” CT4-V Blackwing model. Rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, the boosted six can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission as standard or the marque’s 10-speed automatic as an extra-cost option. Power is routed exclusively through the rear two wheels.
Each Mondrian Edition package adds $22,000 to the base MSRP of the CT4-V Blackwing. As with the “regular” CT4-V Blackwing, these models will be assembled at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
