As part of the year-long celebration of the 20th anniversary of high-performance Cadillac V-Series vehicles, the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing gains three special Mondrian Edition packages. Dubbed Arrival Edition, Elevation Edition and Impact Edition, these three packages bundle high-performance upgrades and other unique touches. Additionally, each edition features an exterior color unique to that particular edition. Let’s take a closer look at the CT4-V Blackwing Impact Edition.
To tell an Impact Edition model apart from the two other CT4-V Blackwing Mondrian Editions, look for its Black Raven paint scheme with red mirror caps. It also features bold bodyside decals as throws back to the second generation of V-Series vehicles to “announce the presence of a champion,” according to the luxury marque.
Unique V-Series 20th anniversary content can be found throughout the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Impact Edition, such as a special decal on the grille to commemorate the V-Series milestone. A wakeup animation plays at the start of every drive, paying homage to the rich history of V-Series vehicles, while high-performance red Brembo brakes can be seen peaking out from behind the front and rear wheels. As with the other Mondrian Edition variants, the Impact Edition also features both Carbon Fiber 1 and Carbon Fiber 2 equipment packages, adding sporty carbon fiber elements including a splitter and spoiler.
Inside, the Impact Edition is finished in the Jet Black interior colorway as standard, which can be spiced up with accent colors such as Sky Cool Gray, Signet or Adrenaline Red. There is also V-Series badging throughout the cabin, along with unique 20th anniversary door sill plates, a performance steering wheel with a serialized plaque identifying a particular vehicle’s production number and a builder’s plate.
As far as performance goes, the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Impact Edition features the same twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 engine (production code LF4) as its “regular” CT4-V Blackwing counterparts, which makes 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. The boosted six can be paired with either the six-speed manual transmission as standard or the 10-speed automatic as an option. Power is routed exclusively through the rear two wheels.
Production of the Impact Edition, which will be limited to 66 units, will take place in September 2023 at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
