Cadillac Society has learned that the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing will get a revamped exterior color lineup, gaining new hues like Cyber Yellow.
Specifically, the 2024 model year CT5 V-Series models will be available with nine paint colors, including these four new ones (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):
- Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
- Velocity Red (G7C)
- Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
- Black Diamond Tricoat (GLK)
All the aforementioned colors will be extra-cost options, although pricing has not been revealed as of this writing. Additionally, there are no photos of the new colors yet.
The four new colors will replace the following five hues, which will no longer be offered on either the Cadillac CT5-V or Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing after the 2023 model year:
-
- Blaze Orange Metallic (GCF) (added for 2022 model year)
- Wave Metallic (GKK) (available since the launch of the 2020 Cadillac CT5-V)
- Electric Blue (GMO) (added for 2022 model year)
- Rift Metallic (GRW) (added for 2021 model year)
- Maverick Noir Frost (GNW) (exclusive to 2023 model year CT5-V Blackwing)
The following paint colors are carried over from the 2023 model year:
-
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Black Raven (GBA)
- Midnight Steel Metallic (GXN)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Summit White (GAZ)
As exclusively reported by Cadillac Society, a midcycle refresh is on the way for the Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing, promising a refreshed front fascia, restyled headlights and an overhauled cockpit. We originally reported that the refresh will arrive for the 2024 model year, though it’s now possible that the update will end up being pushed back to the 2025 model year.
As a reminder, the current, pre-refresh Cadillac CT5-V sources power from the luxury marque’s twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine (production code LGY), good 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. Output is routed exclusively via the 10-speed automatic transmission, with a rear-wheel-drive configuration as standard, while all-wheel-drive is optional.
Meanwhile, the current Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing sources its ground-pounding power from the supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4), good for 668 horses and 659 pound-feet of torque. Offered exclusively in rear-wheel-drive, the super sedan can be outfitted with either the standard six-speed manual transmission, or optional 10-speed automatic.
Production of the 2024 CT5 range, which will continue to ride on the luxury marque’s Alpha 2 platform, is expected to kick off at the Lansing Grand River plant in the summer of 2023.

Disappointing the Blaze Orange is gone AND that the refresh is not happening for 2024 model year, which was shown not to be happening a couple weeks ago on the ordering guide. So I risked losing the orange color for the much needed interior update refresh (hopefully they add more color choices to a two-tone dash) and large screen and now BOTH color and refresh are gone. The yellow METALLIC sounds interesting because it’s a metallic.

IF the Black Diamond color is the same as it was on the Gen 2 CTS, that is going to be one HOT CTS-V/Blackwing.
I have a 2012 CTS-V coupe in Black Diamond and am still amazed at how awesome that color is.
It’s a beast to keep clean but still HOT!

Why present new colors without showing an example?

Any word on the interior update? Always looking forward to an updated interior design, just like the lyric. The interiors are now disappointingly old-fashioned.
