Here Are The 2023 Cadillac XT4 Towing Capacities

The Cadillac XT4 luxury crossover is capable of some light towing. Below, Cadillac Society breaks down the specifications of the 2023 XT4 towing capacities.

Let’s revisit the Cadillac XT4 powertrain before we delve into the details. In North America, the XT4 is exclusively powered by the luxury marque’s turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), which provides 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The boosted four is mated solely to the nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard, while all-wheel-drive is optional for an additional charge.

There is also an optional Towing Package (production code V92) available for the 2023 Cadillac XT4, which increases the luxury crossover’s towing capacities. This package bundles features like Hitch Guidance, Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, a trailer hitch, hitch cover and seven-wire trailering harness, a 170-amp alternator, along with a heavy duty cooling system.

1. Optional Trailering Package (RPO code V92)

Note that the max towing capacities are the same between all trim levels and drivetrain configurations of the 2023 Cadillac XT4. However, opting for the Towing Package increases the maximum trailer weight by 1,000 pounds, bringing it up to 3,500 pounds, as opposed to 2,500 pounds supported by models without the package.

It’s interesting, however, that the 2023 Cadillac XT4 without the Towing Package has a heavier towing capacity than the larger Cadillac XT5, which is only capable of hauling 1,000 pounds without the optional equipment.

The 2023 Cadillac XT4, which rides on the luxury marque’s E2 platform, is produced at the Fairfax plant in Kansas. However, as of April 2023, production will roll over to facilitate that of the 2024 model year XT4, which brings about a refresh for the luxury crossover.
