Engine Wiring Harness Fix Needed For Some Units Of Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing

Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors, has issued a service update to address an issue with the engine wiring harness affecting certain units of the 2022 and 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing

The problem: in affected units of the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, the engine wiring harness breakout branch for the power steering may not be properly secured to the front of the dash near the airbox.

The hazards: if the engine wiring harness power steering breakout branch is loose, it could cause premature wear of the wire.

The fix: a dealership technician will inspect the engine wiring harness. If necessary, they will secure the wiring harness branch clip. This procedure will be performed at no cost to vehicle owners.

Affected components: engine wiring harness power steering breakout branch.

Affected vehicles: 2022 and 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing.

Number of affected vehicles: Cadillac did not indicate how many units of the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing may be affected by this condition.

Next steps: Cadillac will contact owners of affected vehicles with instructions to make an appointment with their dealer to have this service performed. Additionally, owners may reach out to Cadillac directly using the information provided below.

It’s important to note that this is a service update, not a recall, meaning that it will expire at the end of the vehicle’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty Period.
