Cadillac Society has kept a close eye on the forthcoming 2024 Cadillac Escalade, which will bring about a mid-cycle refresh for the highly popular luxury SUV. In addition to a revised exterior and an updated interior, the 2024 Escalade will offer a brand new set of 24-inch wheels. Given that the largest wheels currently offered on the Escalade are 22-inchers, the 24 inch rollers would represent the largest wheels the luxury marque will have ever offered from the factory, whether on an Escalade or any other production vehicle.
While the camo wrap makes it difficult to make out the details regarding these new 24-inch alloy rollers, we can see their strong seven-spoke design and note that they fill the wheel wells of the 2024 Cadillac Escalade prototype quite nicely. It’s not clear at this time if these wheels will be standard, or if they will be an extra-cost option offered only on certain trims, though we’re betting on them being optional.
Back to the other changes in store for the 2024 Cadillac Escalade refresh. On the outside, the luxury SUV will get a new front end design, with a front lighting arrangement similar to that of the Cadillac Lyriq and refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4. Much like the current, pre-refresh model, this prototype has a set of vertical light strips running the length of the front fascia. We have yet to pick out are the horizontally-oriented lights above the vertical units, since every prototype we’ve spotted thus far has worn heavy camo over this area.
The “regular” 2024 Cadillac Escalade is expected to continue to offer the naturally-aspirated gasoline V8 (production code L87), rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, while a new 3.0L I6 turbodiesel (production code LZ0) will be optional, this time good for 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the high-performance Escalade-V will continue to offer the supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4), with 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque on tap.
Production of the 2024 Cadillac Escalade will commence in November 2023 at the Cadillac Arlington plant in Texas.
