Introduced for the 2023 model year, the Cadillac Lyriq stands as the luxury marque’s first entry into the budding EV market. The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq arrives with several important changes and updates, among which is the introduction of a revised trim level lineup, starting with the addition of a new entry level trim called Tech. The Luxury and new Sport trim levels slot above the new Tech trim.
A wide range of trim levels and equipment groups is available for the 2024 Lyriq. The Luxury and Sport trims offer equipment groups numbered 1, 2 and 3, with each ascending number representing a better-equipped model. The Lyriq Tech, by comparison, features only one equipment level (1SA). All three trims are offered in either rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive.
The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will also feature 5G network connectivity as standard on all trim levels, along with a new power panoramic dual-panel sunroof and a Nappa Leather seating package, which is consists of genuine leather made from calfskin or other types of soft cowhide.
Regardless of trim level, 2024 Lyriq in rear-wheel-drive form is rated at 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, along with a maximum driving range of 308 miles on a single charge. All-wheel-drive models deliver 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, along with 307 miles of driving range from a single charge.
The Cadillac Lyriq rides on the luxury marque’s BEV3 platform featuring Ultium Drive and Ultium battery technology. The crossover is assembled at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee for North America and at the Cadillac Jinqiao plant for the Chinese market. Production of the 2024 model will commence in late March 2023 at the Spring Hill facility.
