A refresh is on the way for the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. Cadillac Society has learned from sources familiar with the matter that the 2024 CT5-V Blackwing will receive a midcycle refresh that will furnish the super sedan with updates to the exterior as well as to the interior.
The 2024 model will feature an updated front fascia, with new headlights similar to those seen on the first-generation, pre-refresh Cadillac CT6. In adopting the new headlights, the 2024 CT5-V Blackwing will also feature an uninterrupted vertical light signature, deviating from the current execution that splits the vertical lighting strips into two separate sections on the front fascia. The lower fascia will also be redesigned, with revised intakes, while the rear end design will carry over from the 2022 and 2023 CT5-V Blackwing models.
Perhaps even more importantly, the forthcoming 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will be treated to a refreshed interior that will bear similarities to that of the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4, including the addition of a large curved display spanning the instrument panel and center infotainment stack.
The 2024 CT5-V Blackwing refresh will align with the updates for the “regular” CT5 range, which Cadillac Society reported on late last year before spying a prototype undergoing testing. Sources also tell us that this Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing refresh will arrive just two years after its introduction for the 2022 model year. In doing so, it will represent the first time the luxury marque has refreshed a V-Series product.
The current Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is powered by the supercharged 6.2L V8 (production code LT4) that delivers a not-insignificant 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. That engine connects to either the standard six-speed manual transmission or the optional 10-speed automatic, delivering power exclusively to the rear wheels. Production of the 2024 CT5 range, which will continue to ride on the luxury marque’s Alpha 2 platform, is expected to kick off at the Lansing Grand River plant in the summer of 2023.
