During January 2023, there are no Cadillac Lyriq discount offers, meaning that the luxury marque is not offering any sort of incentive or deal toward the purchase or lease of its first-ever fully electric luxury crossover.
This is not entirely a surprise, as the Lyriq only began landing at dealerships in July 2022 and has thus far proven to be a highly sought-after vehicle. A grand total of 8,195 units of the Lyriq were produced last year at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, as the luxury mark ramped up production of its all-electric crossover in response to unprecedented demand. Even so, the production figures didn’t even come close to meeting true market demand.
Not only is Cadillac not offering any sort of Cadillac Lyriq discount this month, but buyers of the luxury electric crossover are also unable to take advantage of the full $7,500 federal EV Tax Credit. This can be attributed to a technicality on the part of the U.S. Treasury, which does not classify the Lyriq as a utility vehicle, thereby placing the luxury electric crossover outside the parameters necessary to qualify for the tax credit. Instead, it’s considered a “passenger vehicle,” which means that its retail price can’t exceed $55,000 in order to be eligible for the full tax credit.
Speaking of Lyriq pricing, below we list Cadillac Lyriq trim levels and their corresponding starting retail prices. As Cadillac Society exclusively reported, pricing for the 2024 Lyriq actually makes the forthcoming model more affordable than its 2023 model year predecessor.
