Lenny Kravitz Looking Forward To The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq

The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq ultra luxury electric sedan was recently unveiled in its production form, boasting a broad array of customization options that will make every single example unique based on customer desires. Shortly after the reveal, musical artist Lenny Kravitz is certainly looking forward to the forthcoming flagship sedan and took to the luxury marque’s Twitter account to voice his excitement about it.

“I grew up around Cadillacs,” Kravitz says in a short video posted on Cadillac’s social media. “The thing that always struck me was the lines… the style, the grandeur.”

Kravitz is joined by Michael Simcoe, vice president of global design for Cadillac parent, General Motors, who says that Cadillac has been the standard of the world.

“People talk about the ‘Cadillac’ of things,” Simcoe says. The luxury marque wanted to design something to bring its products back to that elevation, and the electrification of its lineup provided the perfect canvas on which to do so. Thus, the bespoke 2024 Cadillac Celestiq was born.

As far as Celestiq customization options go, Kravitz says he’s extremely excited to see where he can go with it. He wants his Celestiq to “have an edge,” and be something that can be looked at decades in the future and still be impressive. He chooses interior patterns that evoke natural images, such as animal print.

“It’s beautiful that I’ll be able to walk out of my life and the aesthetic values that I’ve placed in my life and walk into the car and have the same experience while it’s moving down the road,” Kravitz says. “To have the opportunity to create a car that reflects my personality, dark and moody and tough while having classic beautiful lines… I really can’t wait to drive it.”

The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq features a 111 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive propulsion system. Cadillac estimates this setup will be good for a maximum 300 miles of driving range on a single charge while providing a whopping 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. Interested customers can expect to shell out at least $300,000 for the ultra luxury electric sedan, which will be hand-built at the GM Global Technical Center.
