Refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 Spy Shots Reveal All-New Front End Design

Cadillac Society has been keeping a very close eye on the development of refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4. In June, we spotted a prototype of the subcompact luxury crossover for the first time, giving us a general idea of the changes in store for the luxury CUV. Now, our spies have caught the refreshed XT4 once again, this time giving us a much more detailed look at what’s in store for its front end design.

What we’re looking at is the 2024 Cadillac XT4 in the Sport trim level, identifiable by its gloss black grille, DLO (window) trim, longitudinal roof rails, and body-color door handles.

The photos show that the refreshed XT4 will feature an all-new front fascia, with revised headlights and grilles. The headlights have been split up to feature a two-tier theme, with a set of thin horizontal lights at the top end of the cluster serving as the turn signal indicator / hazard indicator bookended by a set of vertically-oriented Daytime Running Lamps (DLRs).

The primary forward lights, meanwhile, have been moved lower within the front fascia, essentially to the spot previously occupied by the front aero curtains. These, in turn, appear to have been relocated to the outer edges of the vertically-oriented DRL.

The grille setup is also all-new, featuring a more edgy upper grille that resembles that of the Cadillac XT6. That, in turn, results in an all-new lower grille that is now more prominent than before, with a more distinct intake and a prominent upper lip. All of these changes will also result in new surface detailing on the front end.

Out back, the taillamps do not appear to have been updated compared to the current XT4. However, the lower portion of the rear fascia appears to extend lower than it did before while featuring differently-shaped exhaust tips.

Also note the wheels: these attractive, gray multi-spokers will be all-new for the 2024 model year and look like they measure 20 inches in diameter.

Inside, the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 will feature an all-new curved screen that combines the instrument panel (gauge cluster) and center infotainment screen into a single, horizontally-oriented display, similar to that of the 2021 and newer Cadillac Escalade and the new Cadillac Lyriq.

Additionally, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 will offer Super Cruise, bringing the luxury marque’s advanced semi-autonomous driver assist system to its entry-level vehicle.

Under the hood, the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 is expected to retain the turbocharged 2.0L I4 gasoline engine (production code LSY). In the pre-refreshed 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 model year XT4s, the boosted gasoline four-pot makes 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

On the current model, the cog swaps are handled by Cadillac’s nine-speed automatic transmission, which sends power either to the front wheels as standard, or to all four wheels via an optional all-wheel-drive system. We expect all of these elements will carry over to the refreshed XT4.
