2023 Cadillac CT5, CT5-V Were Built Without Ventilated Seat Blower Motors

Ventilated seat blower motors were previously constrained in various 2022 model year Cadillac vehicles. Now, the issue has extended into the next model year, as Cadillac Society recently learned that units of the 2023 Cadillac CT5 and CT5-V have been built without seat blower motors due to ongoing supplier issues.

Units of the 2023 Cadillac CT5 and CT5-V were assembled between the start of production on July 18th and September 4th were built without seat blower motors. Affected vehicles can be identified by the production cod 04O on the window stickers. Buyers of a CT5 model built without seat blower motors will receive a $25 credit toward their purchase. Additionally, Cadillac will retrofit these vehicles with blower motors in the future once supplier constraints allow.

As a reminder, ventilated driver and front passenger seats are not offered at all on the base Cadillac CT5 Luxury trim. However, they are typically included in the three packages available for the CT5 Premium Luxury and Sport (relevant production codes listed in parentheses):

    • Platinum Package (PCJ)
    • Super Cruise 2 Package (WKA)
    • Climate Package (Y6F)

For the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V, ventilated front seats are only available as part of the Premium Package (production code PCK).

Additionally, ventilated driver and front passenger seats are standard on the ultra-high-performance 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. The super sedan was unaffected by the unavailability of the seat blower motors, and was built with the feature intact.

What’s more, as of this writing, all units of the 2023 Cadillac CT5 are once again being built with seat blower motors included.
