Check Out The Latest Spy Photos Of The Upcoming Cadillac XT3

A few weeks ago, Cadillac Society spies snapped some photos of a Cadillac XT3 prototype undergoing testing on public roads. Since then, we’ve caught more spy shots of the upcoming small luxury crossover once again undergoing testing in a real-world setting, giving us our best look yet at the forthcoming model.

This Cadillac XT3 prototype is still draped in camouflage, concealing the finer details of its exterior design. Even so, the signature vertical lighting signatures mounted on the front end are visible, clearly identifying this prototype as a Cadillac. Further back, we see the thin, vertically-oriented taillights with horizontal accents, which call to mind the taillight designs of the Cadillac XT6 and the Cadillac Lyriq

The two holes in the front camouflage accommodate a set of air intakes at the top grille as well as at the bottom of the front fascia. As we previously covered, this upcoming crossover features an internal combustion engine rather than a battery electric propulsion system, hence the need for grille openings and the exhaust outlets at the rear of the vehicle.

Also of note is the small slit in the front end of the camo, allowing the forward-facing camera to function properly. Additionally, this particular prototype wears the same multi-spoke alloy wheels as the one we previously spotted. It also features a traditional roofline that bleeds into a hatchback-like rear end with a relatively short overhang.

It should be noted that this vehicle appears quite a bit smaller than the Cadillac XT4, so it’s not a refresh of the current XT4 model. It’s also too small to be a prototype of the Cadillac XT5, which is due for an overhaul, as Cadillac Society was first to exclusively report. Based on its size, the XT3 will slot beneath the XT4 as a luxury B-crossover, where it will go head-to-head with competitors such as the Lexus UX and Volvo XC40.

As more information becomes available about this subcompact luxury crossover, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
