2023 Cadillac Lyriq Prototype Captured Testing One More Time: Photos

As the official launch of the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq draws near, the all-new battery electric crossover is undergoing the final stages of development, which includes extensive road tests. After showing you several prototypes over the last few weeks, Cadillac Society recently captured another prototype on public roads, giving us yet another early look at the luxury crossover.

This particular prototype rides on 20-inch Split Six-Spoke alloy wheels with a Diamond Cut/Dark Android finish with Gloss Black aero inserts. The wheels are wrapped in 255/50R20 all-season tires, which should get the job done in the wintry Michigan weather it’s being driven in.

The dark roof and dark window trim contrast nicely with the Crystal White Tricoat exterior color, similar to what we’ve seen on other prototypes in the recent past. It should be noted that Crystal White Tricoat is not one of the two color options offered on the Lyriq Debut Edition, but it will likely be offered in the future, as Cadillac has indicated that more colors will be eventually introduced.

We also see the fixed glass roof, which will be standard on Lyriq Debut Edition models.

Interestingly, the charge port door, located just behind the driver’s side front wheel well, is taped shut with blue tape.

At the rear, the liftgate on this particular Lyriq prototype doesn’t match the white body paint, but it’s not clear if the liftgate is painted black or not painted at all. This is similar to a different Cadillac Lyriq prototype spied a few months ago that sported a red liftgate and a white body.

As a reminder, the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq rides on the all-new BEV3 platform and is equipped with rear wheel drive and a 100.4 kWh lithium-ion Ultium battery pack and a single Ultium Drive motor mounted on the rear axle, offering an estimated 300 miles of driving range. Deliveries of the all-new battery-electric crossover are expected to commence in the spring of 2022, and will carry a starting price point of $59,990 for customers in the U.S., as previously reported by Cadillac Society.
