2022 Cadillac CT4 No Longer Available With Garnet Metallic Paint

The 2022 Cadillac CT4 small luxury sedan is no longer offered in the Garnet Metallic exterior color, Cadillac Society has learned.

The deep red color has been built out for the 2022 model year, meaning that it is no longer available on new units of the CT4. It’s not clear how many individual units of the CT4 were produced with Garnet Metallic, or if the color will make a return for the 2023 model year.

Previously, Garnet Metallic was offered exclusively on units of the CT4 in Luxury or Premium Luxury trims. In other words, it was not offered as an exterior paint option on the 2022 CT4 Sport, CT4-V or range-topping CT4-V Blackwing. The color was considered a premium color and cost an additional $625 to equip.

It should be noted that Garnet Metallic is also currently unavailable for the 2022 Cadillac CT5.

As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac CT4 Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport models are powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 (production code LSY) rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. These models carry the 350T moniker on the decklid. Rear wheel drive is standard, while all wheel drive is optional for a premium.

Pricing for the 2022 Cadillac CT4 starts at $34,840 for rear wheel drive models in the base Luxury trim, and $37,415 for all wheel drive. Production of the luxury sedan for the 2022 model year began in early October 2021 after a nearly five-month-long hiatus due to the ongoing global microchip shortage.

While production of the Cadillac CT4 for the 2022 model year is currently at full capacity at the Lansing Grand River plant, the microchip shortage continues to impact the vehicle, as it’s currently unavailable to order with Super Cruise, Cadillac’s semi-autonomous driver assist technology. In addition, the microchip shortage has also limited the availability of certain park assist features.

  1. I can’t get Garnet Metallic on an escalade! Oh well, at least now nobody can get it.
CT-4 wanters can’t get Super Cruise if they want it but I HAVE TO get it on an Escalade for $2,500.00 extra, even though I don’t want it.
    Huh?
