The Rock Gives His Mom A New Cadillac XT6 For Christmas: Video

Dwane ‘The Rock’ Johnson, renowned Hollywood actor and former WWE wrestler, surprised his mother this Christmas with a heartfelt gift – a brand-new Cadillac XT6

The Rock posted a video to his Instagram account the day after Christmas that captured the moment he handed the luxury crossover’s keys to his mother with the help of his two daughters and even his dog. The vehicle in question seems to be a 2021 Cadillac XT6 in Premium Luxury trim finished in Crystal White Tricoat paint, judging by the crossover’s bright accent work. The interior seems to be Cirrus with Dark Titanium accents, complementing the exterior’s bright look.

In the description on his Instagram post, The Rock said his mother was absolutely “shocked” and that she “got a few good ugly cries in.” The actor said he was extremely “grateful” that he is able to do this sort of thing for his mother, and that neither one of them take it for granted.

“Hell, even Hobbs, my dog, wanted to peep the new whip with his new Christmas Chicken,” The Rock said.

The Rock is cited by Forbes as being the highest-paid actor on its list of top celebrity earners for 2020, raking in a whopping $87.5 million dollars that year. Given that the Cadillac XT6 starts at $56,115 in the Premium Luxury trim level, The Rock’s choice to purchase the crossover instead of, say, a Lamborghini or Rolls-Royce, shows that it’s not all about flash for the actor. Way back in 2019, he gifted a Cadillac Escalade to his sister as well, so he obviously has a propensity for the American luxury marque.

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury is powered by the naturally-aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production code LGX) good for 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque by way of its nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard, while all-wheel-drive is optional. Cadillac recently resumed XT6 production for the 2022 model year on December 6th, 2021, after a months-long hiatus due to the global microchip shortage.
