Some Cadillac Crossovers Get Limited Heated, Vented Seat Availability

In the wake of the ongoing microchip shortage affecting automakers worldwide, Cadillac has been forced to reduce the availability of several more features in its vehicles: heated seats, ventilated seats, and heated steering wheels. The deletion of the features went into affect affect on November 15th, 2021 on all 2022 model year Cadillac crossovers.

Cadillac is offering a credit on individual vehicle MSRPs, ranging anywhere from $150 to $500, depending on which specific features are affected. In addition, some of these features may remain available on certain trim levels, meaning some models will have them and others will not.

So far, we know that three models are affected: the XT4, XT5 and XT6 luxury crossovers will have limited availability of the aforementioned features. Meanwhile, it seems that the CT4 and CT5 luxury sedans as well as the full-size Escalade SUV will not be affected by the limited availability of heated and ventilated seats, or heated steering wheels.

To note, the XT4 retains the heated steering wheel feature. However, certain models will not have the automatic activation feature.
