Miami Shop Creates Custom 2021 Cadillac Escalade EXT Pickup

There hasn’t been a pickup version of the Cadillac Escalade since production of the Escalade EXT ended in 2013. And though it doesn’t seem like the marque is interested in returning to the pickup market anytime soon, a custom shop has given us a taste of what a brand new Escalade truck might look like by creating one of their own.

Dom’s Garage, a shop specializing in vehicle customization, stepped up to the challenge of tailor-making a truck out of the all-new 2021 Escalade. The details about the build are a bit slim, but it appears the truck is an amalgamation of two separate vehicles. The fascia was donated by a 2021 Cadillac Escalade with the Sport trim level, identifiable by its mesh grille and black trim, while the chassis was borrowed from a 2019 and newer Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab.

The Cadillac Escalade truck is finished in Cherry Red Tintcoat and features black-painted door handles and a set of 24-inch aftermarket wheels. According to Dom’s Garage, the Cadillac Crest on the tailgate actually functions as a handle for bed access. Cadillac emblems were also added to the front quarter panels, just ahead of the A-pillars. The custom Escalade truck also features a pair of Silverado taillights that have been blacked out, lending the one-of-a-kind build a more sinister appearance.

Both the Cadillac Escalade and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 are built on the T1 platform from parent firm General Motors, but that doesn’t mean the conversion was easy. The fenders of the two vehicles don’t quite align, with Dom’s Garage technicians having to do “a lot of fabrication” to produce the clean lines seen on the finished product.

For the time being, this is as close to a modern-day Cadillac Escalade EXT or Escalade pickup truck as we’ll get, not counting our own rendering from way back in 2020.
