2023 Cadillac Lyriq Lighting The Way Forward In New Ad: Video

The all-new Cadillac Lyriq EV crossover is a watershed moment for the luxury marque, leading the charge as Cadillac transitions to an all-electric lineup. Now, the battery-powered Lyriq is on display in a new video advertisement titled “Lighting the Way.”

Though there are shorter versions, the complete spot is a minute long and features the Cadillac Lyriq crossover in a nighttime cityscape. We see the new Lyriq parked and charging when a valet approaches, triggering the Lyriq’s exterior lights to set in motion a unique display pattern welcoming the driver.

In the next scene, we see a CEO hanging up a portrait in her office. After wandering down an office hall, the CEO sees herself in another office, exchanging a knowing smile.

“The light. It comes from within, illuminating the way forward, even as it reminds you where you’ve been,” the voiceover narration says.

We next get to see the Cadillac Lyriq interior, with the driver changing the ambient lighting color with a single touch.

The video continues, showing the CEO as she remembers the hard work she put in to get to the top, finally getting into her Cadillac Lyriq after it arrives curbside.

For those fans who can’t get enough of the latest all-electric crossover, this video should provide some satisfaction.

The all-electric Cadillac Lyriq debuted in full production form on April 21st, dropping cover after a reveal in show car form in August of 2020. The Lyriq features a 12-module, 100-kWh battery and single electric motor, with output rated at 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. Range-per-charge is rated at 300 miles. Production gets underway in Q1 of 2022, with reservations available as of September of 2021. The starting MSRP is $59,990 in the United States.
