Cadillac XT6 Owners Double Charged For All-Weather Cargo Tray Mat To Be Reimbursed

Cadillac has issued a customer satisfaction campaign to reimburse Cadillac XT6 buyers that were accidentally double charged for an optional cargo tray mat.

The bulletin for this customer satisfaction campaign, which was seen by Cadillac Society, indicates that buyers of certain 2021 model year Cadillac XT6 crossover vehicles may have been double-charged for the optional all-weather cargo tray liner ordered at the time of the vehicle purchase. To remedy the problem, dealers are asked to provide affected owners with a reimbursement check valued at $195 USD.

The all-weather cargo tray liner for the Cadillac XT6 (part number 84229582) costs $195 USD and covers the entire cargo area floor and the back of the rear seats to provide additional protection when carrying items in the rear cargo area.

This customer satisfaction campaign is for select buyers of 2021 model year Cadillac XT6 vehicles only and is set to expire on March 31st, 2023. Customers who may have been double-charged for the mat will not be able to receive a reimbursement check after the March 31st, 2023 expiry date.

The Cadillac XT6 is a three-row, seven-seat luxury crossover that was initially introduced for the 2020 model year. The 2021 Cadillac XT6 offers a few changes and upgrades over the initial 2020 model year, such as the addition of a Luxury trim level, the deletion of four exterior colors and the addition of two up-charge exterior color options, and the addition of a new 20-inch wheel option. The vehicle also received wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support for 2021.

Power in the Cadillac XT6 comes from the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine (production code LSY), which is exclusive to the newly-introduced Luxury trim level. All other XT6 trim levels sold in North America are equipped with the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 gas engine (production code LGX). Both engines connect to a nine-speed automatic gearbox – the only transmission option.
