2021 Cadillac XT5 Sport Looks Slick With Optional Black Wheels: Photos

We recently spotted this 2021 Cadillac XT5 in a dealer showroom, and whoever configured it has a keen eye for a healthy contrast. Let’s break down this model.

To begin, this is in fact an XT5 Sport trim. It therefore comes as standard with high-gloss black exterior accents (grille, lower grille inserts, window surround), plus clear tail light lenses (though the latter part is not important right now). Naturally, the effect of these blacked out elements depends on which exterior color is chosen.

The standard Satin Steel Metallic would not be suitable, nor would most of the optional colors. But Crystal White Tricoat would be perfect, as seen here.

The optional color adds $1,225 to the price of the vehicle (as does Infrared Tintcoat), but let’s not confuse art and economics here.

The really clever part about this XT5 Sport build is that it includes a particular set of carefully-chosen wheels. There’s nothing wrong with the standard 20-inch, 12-spoke alloys with Pearl Nickel finish, the 20-inch, 12-spoke Diamond Cut alloys with Dark Android Satin finish pockets (a $600 upgrade), or the 20-inch Chrome wheels ($2,495) and we’d never say there was.

But none of those wheels would contrast this effectively with the Crystal White Tricoat paintwork, as seen here.

Luckily, the optional 20-inch, Gloss Black units ($2,095 option, including wheel locks, assigned production code S2K) provide the strongest contrast with the tricoat body color.

These extras alone take the MSRP of the 2021 Cadillac XT5 Sport to $59,410, including destination charge. In return, the customer will receive a particularly sharp-looking vehicle.

Taken together, all the elements seen here give this 2021 Cadillac XT5 Sport quite the youthful and sporty appearance, though it may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
