2021 Cadillac XT6 buyers have gained another way to customize their luxury vehicle thanks to the newly introduced Onyx Package, a dark-themed appearance package that adds a personalized touch to the three-row crossover.

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 Onyx Package (production code PDT) includes various cosmetic add-ons that make a profound difference with regard to the vehicle’s exterior appearance. The package contents include (relevant production code listed in parentheses):

  • (S2K) 20-inch Gloss Black wheels, LPO
  • (RWK) Gloss Black bodyside moldings, LPO
  • (RXX) Gloss Black rear license plate applique, LPO

  • (QJ5) Gloss Black front fascia applique, LPO
  • (VNI) Gloss Black rear fascia applique, LPO
  • (SJA) Gloss Black grille, LPO
  • (VMP) Gloss Black exhaust bezel, LPO

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 Onyx Package is offered on all trims levels, including Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport.

The package adds $4,595 to the price of the Luxury and Premium Luxury models, and $3,995 to that of the Sport. Some of the equipment in the package can also be added to the vehicle a la carte, including the 20-inch Gloss Black wheels ($2,495), Gloss Black Grille ($585) and Gloss Black exhaust bezel ($490).

Cadillac also offers similar Onyx Package for some of its other vehicles, including the 2021 Cadillac Escalade and 2021 Cadillac XT4. These packages typically consist of black parts and monochromatic badges, which give the vehicle a sportier and somewhat more sinister exterior appearance.

Prices for the 2021 Cadillac XT6 starts at $48,990, including the $995 destination charge, for the base Luxury trim level, which is powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I-4 engine (production code LSY), nine-speed automatic M3W transmission and front-wheel-drive (with optional all-wheel-drive). Moving up the branches of Cadillac’s Y trim level hierarchy are the XT6 Premium Luxury (starting at $53,790) and XT6 Sport (starting at $58,190), both of which are powered by the naturally-aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production code LGX).
