2021 Escalade Launches In The Middle East

Cadillac opened the order books for the 2021 Escalade for North American customers back in the spring, but soon customers in the Middle East will be able to place an order for the new full-size luxury SUV as well.

Cadillac Middle East said that customers can now pre-order their 2021 Escalade ahead of its on-sale date in the region by contacting their local Cadillac dealership by phone or through their respective websites. The 2021 Escalade will be available in Luxury, Premium Luxury and range-topping Platinum trim levels in the Middle East. The various Sport trim levels will also be offered there,  in line with Cadillac’s Y-trim level strategy.

Just like the North American-spec model, the  2021 Escalade for the Middle East will come standard with a naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 gas engine (production code L87), rear-wheel-drive and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0L turbo-diesel engine (production code LM2) available in the U.S. was not mentioned in Cadillac Middle East’s announcement, so it appears to be off the table for the time being.

Cadillac’s fourth-generation Magnetic Ride Control system is standard across the board in all 2021 Escalade models, while four-wheel drive will also be available on all trims. Additionally, all 2021 Escalades destined for the Middle East will come equipped with a trailering package, but Cadillac did not say if this would be the same as the Heavy Duty Trailering Package available on North American models, which includes the following:

  • Rear Vision Trailer Camera
  • Auxiliary trailer camera
  • 2-speed electronic transfer case (4WD models only)
  • Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System
  • Trailering Assist Guidelines
  • Extra capacity cooling system

Many of the same optional extras and features as the U.S. model are also offered on the 2021 Escalade in the Middle East, including Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and a 36-speaker AKG audio system. However, one feature that won’t be offered in the Middle East is the Super Cruise driver assistance system, as Cadillac has yet to map any local Middle Eastern highways or roadways for the system’s memory. For now, Super Cruise only works on divided highways and roadways in the U.S., Canada and China.

“We are delighted to launch the iconic 2021 Cadillac Escalade in our market of automotive connoisseurs,” head of sales at Cadillac Middle East, Omar Elkhishin, said in a statement.  “With a stunning new design, impeccable refinement and thoughtful industry-leading technology, every journey in the new Escalade is a special occasion. The model also offers a variety of customization options, giving customers in the Middle East the opportunity to truly make their Escalade as unique as they are.”

Pricing for the 2021 Escalade for the Middle Eastern market has yet to be divulged.
