All-New 2021 Cadillac Escalade Officially Goes On Sale In Mexico

A few weeks after the 2021 Cadillac Escalade began to arrive at dealerships across the United States, the all-new luxury SUV officially went on sale in Mexico. The completely overhauled Escalade was officially announced in Mexico during a local media event in October, and went on sale in the country during the first week of November.

As such, Mexico becomes the third country to receive the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade, shortly after the all-new luxury SUV officially went on sale in the United States and Canada. In addition to the three North American markets, Cadillac has also announced the all-new Escalade for the Middle East.

However, the marque’s flagship utility has yet to be confirmed for China, which has become Cadillac’s largest market by sales volume. In China, however, the Escalade has a fairly limited commercial scope as it is the only Cadillac model that, as of this writing, is not manufactured locally in the country today.

“We are very excited to announce the arrival of the new generation of Escalade in Mexico, as it incorporates the cutting-edge technology, luxury and comfort characteristic of Cadillac, at a level that places it once again as a benchmark in its segment,” said Cadillac Mexico Marketing Manager, Yammil Guaida, in a press release translated by Cadillac Society from Spanish. “When driving an Escalade, Cadillac customers will have a unique experience that elevates the extraordinary,” he added.

During the first stage of launch, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade is available in Mexico in both the regular body style as well as the extended-length ESV variant, but only in the Premium Luxury trim level. The trim is characterized by an elegant jewel grille, chrome body accents, and extensive levels of standard equipment. The Sport model will be launched in a subsequent launch stage.

In addition to adopting an all-new platform that allows for the use of an new independent rear suspension along with the brand’s latest design language, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade stands with the 38.3-inch curved OLED display. The industry-first feature offers an innovative instrument panel and multimedia experience. The interior, meanwhile, features multiple advanced technologies and offers an optional 36-speaker high-fidelity AKG Studio audio system.

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is powered exclusively by the naturally-aspirated 6.2L V8 gasoline engine (production code L87) that produces a maximum 425 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The powerful engine is mated to Cadillac’s latest 10-speed automatic transmission with the Electronic Precision Shift gear selector.

The 2021 Escalade is now across the Cadillac dealer network in Mexico. It ‘s offered in a total of eight exterior colors and three distinctive interior colorways. Cadillac is listing four versions with the following starting prices:

  • Escalade Premium Luxury: 2,069,900 MXN ($96,605 USD at current exchange rates)

  1. What is taking so long for orders to be filled on the 2021 escalade esv platinum level. I have had one ordered since August and it is not even on the production schedule. No one has answers for me, not even the dealership I bought it from. Getting the runaround on a $106,800 suv

    • You’re witnessing the Cadillac/GM logistics and production processes. They can build vehicles on a production line very well and do so quickly, but not when it comes to custom orders / build configurations. Bottom line is that even Cadillac doesn’t know when your Escalade will get built until a few days beforehand.

The rather unfortunate bottom line is that it will get built… just be patient. That said they’ve only recently started producing the new Escalade, so give it time to ramp. It’s no simple task.

    • I’ve seen on a YouTube video that the demand was strong on the Escalade. It will be worth the wait. The dealerships around here, there is a very short supply of the Escalade on the lots currently and they are gone the minute you visit the site the next day or two. The demand for them are very strong and they been on sale early part of October.
