Cadillac Lyriq EV Crossover Will Boast 33-Inch OLED Display

Back in February, Cadillac Society was the first to report that large OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) screens would be making their way to all future Cadillac models, including the upcoming Cadillac Lyriq electric crossover. And now, the first image of the Cadillac Lyriq’s 33-inch OLED display have been released.

Cadillac Lyriq 33-inch OLED screen

The Cadillac Lyriq’s OLED screen includes a single piece of curved glass, measuring in at 33 inches in length, and five inches in height. The screen real estate will be broken up into three individual sections, with the rightmost section serving as the center stack with navigation, infotainment, and cabin controls. The center section will serve as driver instrumentation (speedometer, etc), while the leftmost section will provide controls for lighting and the head-up display. Certain vehicle modes will integrate all three sections into a single display, such as when charging.

Other info will include items like range, upcoming trips, the driver’s calendar, driver assist systems, and more. The Cadillac Lyriq’s center screen will be controlled via  touch controls or via the rotary controller that’s offered on all Cadillac vehicles today.

2021 Cadillac Escalade interior

The Cadillac Lyriq’s 33-inch screen is similar to the 38-inch OLED screen equipped in the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade, but will differ in terms of design and information provided.

The Cadillac Lyriq is slated to debut August 6th during an online-only event following delays incurred by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Lyriq will be built on the BEV3 electric platform, and will slot in between the Cadillac XT5 and Cadillac XT6 in terms of size. The standard model is expected to get RWD, with AWD offered. Power will come from the automaker’s new Ultium battery technology, with an estimated 400 miles of range with a full charge. Production will take place at the Detroit-Hamtramck production facility.

Stay tuned, as we’ll plenty more about the new EV crossover as its debut approaches, so make sure to subscribe to Cadillac Society for more Cadillac Lyriq news, future Cadillac vehicle news, and ongoing Cadillac news coverage.
