The 11 percent increase in Cadillac Canada sales during the fourth quarter was driven by the brand’s crossover lineup – the XT4, XT5 and XT6. Cadillac crossover sales volume in Canada increased 43 percent to 2,298 units during the quarter, accounting for 76 percent of the luxury brand’s total sales volume.
Besides the three crossover models, all other models saw double-digit declines in sales volume. Cadillac sedan sales fell 68 percent to 124 units.
The Escalade accounted for the remaining 593 units.
Cadillac is currently undergoing a major transition, replacing two of its sedans – the ATS and CTS – with all-new models – the CT4 and CT5. In addition, the Escalade is about to be replaced by an all-new model in the first half of 2020, while the XT5 is getting a refresh for the 2020 model year.
