Cadillac U.S. Sales Increase 12.7 Percent To 14,494 Units In March 2018

Cadillac reported 12,338 new vehicle deliveries in March 2018 in the United States. The results represent an increase of 12.7 percent compared to March 2017 as well as the brand’s best March sales performance since 2014.

The 12,388 deliveries were comprised of 11,696 retail sales and 2,798 fleet sales:

Retail sales increased 5.3 percent or 593 units to 11,696 vehicles, representing 80.7 percent of total Cadillac sales in March 2018. That compares to 11,103 retail sales in March 2017, which represented 86.3 percent of total Cadillac sales.
Fleet sales increased 59.2 percent or 1,040 units to 2,798 vehicles, representing 19.3 percent of total Cadillac sales in March 2018. That compares to 1,758 fleet sales in March 2017, which represented 13.7 percent of total Cadillac sales.

Individual model sales performance was as follows:

Cadillac car sales increased 7 percent in March, and every nameplate saw sales increase during the month:
- Cadillac ATS sales increased 3.8 percent to 1,419 units
- Cadillac CT6 sales increased 2.69 percent to 994 units
- Cadillac CTS sales decreased 1.36 percent to 894 units
- Cadillac XTS sales increased 16.91 percent to 1,735 units
Cumulative Cadillac Escalade sales increased 14 percent to 3,263 units:
- Regular-length Cadillac Escalade sales increased 18.75 percent to 1,957 units, and
- Extended-length Cadillac Escalade ESV sales increased 7.58 percent to 1,957 units
- Despite new competition, Escalade’s retail sales increased 15 percent in March and 12 percent in the first quarter
- Transaction prices for the model continue to grow and retail market share is estimated to be up 2 percentage points year to date.
Cadillac SRX sales totaled 1 unit; the vehicle has been discontinued and replaced by the XT5
Cadillac XT5 sales increased 17.2 percent to 6,188 units

In the first three months of 2018, Cadillac U.S. sales increased 8 percent to 36,727 units.
