I posted in a separate thread, but the QMerit deal is another failure by GM. I got my charger installed for almost $1,000 less than the QMerit bid. So I had to pay some out of my own pocket, but GM did let me switch to the free charging offer. The QMerit recommended installer never came to my house. Made a quote based on photos of my electrical box and garage plus questions I answered. Got quote and then NO follow up. So hired a local guy. I blasted the company QMerit recommended in a google review. The CEO of that company replied, apologized and said they had fired the employee I had dealt with. I complained bitterly to the Lyriq concierge and got nothing except that’s the way we’re doing this. It’s a good thing I like the car, otherwise I would have already traded it. So the Lyriq rollout remains the worst I have ever experienced.

Agree on all points. I also don’t like the buttons for adaptive cruise. Can’t tell if they accepted the push. So you end up punching multiple times. Definitely agree the digital numbers on the cruise are difficult to see. And like you I have not set up the garage door opener and just use the remote clipped to the sun visor.

After reading that Mitch McConnell’s sister in-law drowned when she accidentally put her Tesla X in reverse and backed into her pond the government may have to start requiring car companies to install easier controls. A competent driver should be able to get in any vehicle and be able to drive it without studying a 100 plus page owner’s manual. Not a fan of so many functions on touchscreens that require multiple taps before they work. I like to touch a button once and it works.

Requirement for a QMerit install is another failure for the launch of the Lyriq. I love my car, but the process, over two year wait, some get $5,000 rebate while others (me) don’t and now the QMerit rip off have left me very unhappy. My complaints to the Cadillac concierge were a waste of time. First thing the QMerit installer asked was is someone else paying part of this. I refused to answer. So the quote came in over $1,500. Who could have seen that coming. An independent electrician will do the job for over $1,000 less. So now I am taking the free charging, which I will probably almost never use, and paying the electrician out of my pocket. For those still waiting for EV charging install, get a second quote!
