When the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V Magnus Launch Edition arrives (soon) at dealers, it will become the second electric vehicle to offer V-level performance. Interestingly, the Magnus Launch Edition’s matte finish was previously exclusive to Cadillac’s top-dog Blackwing models.
Initially, the Magnus Metal Frost exterior paint (color code GBL) was only offered on the CT4-V Blackwing Petit Petaud and CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre limited edition models for the 2025 model year. In addition to the 2026 Optiq-V, the hue has been added to the pallets of the Lyriq-V and Escalade-V.
Altogether, the new Magnus Launch Edition package for the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V includes the following content:
- Santorini Blue Interior Package
- Carbon Fiber Package
- Magnus Metal Frost exterior color
- Noir interior with genuine carbon fiber decor
- Blue brake calipers
Completing the look of the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V Magnus Launch Edition model is a set of 21-inch 6-Spoke Reverse Rim alloy wheels with Satin Graphite finish and Laser-Etched V-Series, which is the standard wheel spec for the Optiq-V.
Pricing for the Magnus Launch Edition package hasn’t yet been released, but prospective buyers can expect to pay a pretty penny. For reference, here’s an estimated breakdown of the price of the content included in the package along with the base MSRP of the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V itself:
- 2026 Optiq-V base price – $68,795 (including destination)
- Carbon Fiber Package – $5,700
- Magnus Metal Frost finish – $3,995
- Blue calipers – $595
- Santorini Blue interior upgrade – $400
Indeed, the top-shelf Optiq will have a relatively lofty price tag. For the money, though, buyers will be treated to a fully electric high-performance crossover that can rocket from 0 to 60 miles per hour in as little as 3.5 seconds. The rapid acceleration is only accessible in Velocity Max mode and comes courtesy of a dual-motor powertrain that puts out 519 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.
In addition to its performance capabilities, the Optiq-V can also travel up to 275 miles per full charge, according to Cadillac’s estimates, and will also features a native NACS charging port. Other highlights include the luxury marque’s signature 33-inch curved display, 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system, and Super Cruise hands-free driving capability as standard.
