Luxury vehicles continue pushing the envelope when it comes to creating a perfectly tailored experience for the driver and passengers. In the case of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade, that can come down to something even the most minute details, including the lighting accent, with the refreshed luxury SUV adding over 100 ambient lighting color options to its updated cabin.
The refreshed 2025 Escalade features a total of 126 ambient lighting color options, a stratospheric increase compared to the 18 ambient lighting choices offered on pre-refreshed Escalades, which ran from the 2021 thru the 2024 model years. As if that wasn’t good enough, the array of ambient lights are split into upper and lower zones, allowing even more opportunities for individualization.
“So if it’s game night, you can change the lighting to your team’s colors,” explained Escalade Marketing Manager Donnelly Baxter during an interview with Cadillac Society Editor, Alex Luft. “If you want to set the mood with red lighting or blue or green, you’ve got all those options, too. And all that is split between a lower zone and an upper zone.”
This might seem excessive but the 2025 Escalade joins the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq, 2025 Cadillac CT5, 2025 Cadillac Optiq, and the all-electric 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ in offering the 126-color ambient lighting setup. So it’s clear that this is becoming the new standard for the luxury marque.
The additional ambient lighting colors in the 2025 Cadillac Escalade coincide with a complete overhaul to the cockpit, highlighted by the pillar-to-pillar 55-inch display, which encompasses a 35-inch display for the driver spanning the digital instrument panel (the gauge cluster) and the center stack screen along with a 20-inch display for the passenger. Just below this massive screen resides the Front Command Center, which handles key vehicle controls for such things as the climate systems along with other key vehicle commands. Other highlights include the AKG Studio stereo system, 5G connectivity, and, of course, Cadillac’s semi-autonomous driver assistant, Super Cruise.
Under the hood of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade features an all-gasoline engine lineup, since the diesel engine has been discontinued. The 6.2L V8 engine (production code L87) is standard on all trims except for the Escalade-V, which features the supercharged 6.2L V8 (production code LT4).
Regardless of engine, every Cadillac Escalade rides on T1 platform, with 2025 model year production taking place at the Arlington plant in Texas.
