Electric vehicles are taking center stage in Cadillac’s return to several international markets from which it’s been noticeably absent. Notably, the Cadillac Lyriq is bringing the luxury marque to France, but that’s not the only EV headed for Cadillac City in Paris, as Cadillac recently unveiled its ambitious electric vehicle plans at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, including the introduction of the Cadillac Optiq Arctiq.
Cadillac has been absent from the Paris Motor Show for nearly a decade, making this year’s event the perfect stage to reveal its EV models at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition center. Of course, the Lyriq is on display at the show to give potential buyers and interested parties an up-close look at the luxury marque’s first all-electric vehicle, but it’s also flanked by its smaller sibling, the Cadillac Optiq, which will fit right in on European roads thanks to its smaller size.
The Cadillac Optiq Arctiq is also on display for the first time anywhere, not just in Europe. Created especially for the Paris Motor Show, the special edition EV is fitted with meaty tires for maximum traction in snowy conditions, along with a roof rack perfect for hauling skis to the slopes. Cadillac says that the model looks to “reinvent the future of luxury winter travel.”
“Cadillac is set to make a bold statement at the Mondial de l’Auto – Paris with the brand’s two standout models, the Lyriq and Optiq,” said President and Managing Director at General Motors Europe, Pere Brugal. “Both models showcased Cadillac’s future-forward approach to luxury transportation, cementing its position as a leader in the electric vehicle space.”
The Cadillac display at the 2024 Paris Motor Show opened on October 15th and will remain open through October 20th at Stand 52, Hall 5.3. In addition to the stand, where attendees can check out the Cadillac Optiq Arctiq in person, the luxury marque is offering a special Cadillac Lyriq lease and test drive promotion for visitors.
