The refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 range features a slew of updates and changes for the luxury sedan, and that means that the ultra high-performance CT5-V Blackwing is also in for a significant refresh. Today, let’s take a look at the refreshed luxury super sedan dressed in a coat of Drift Metallic, a new color for the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing.
A series of photos captured by Evan S. show the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing in all its glory, sporting the light blue color Drift Metallic (paint code GAE), which perfectly compliments the sinister expression of its updated front end. It’s likely that Drift Metallic is an extra-cost option, but at the time of this writing, it’s not clear what the price of this color will be.
As for what sets the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing from its pre-refresh siblings, the luxury super sedan features vertically stacked LED headlights accented by an uninterrupted vertical lighting signature present on the outermost corners of the front fascia. It also features Mondrian pattern etching, just like the V-Series insignia itself, and it also boasts unique walk-up lighting to “greet” the driver as they approach, along with walk-away lighting choreography.
Inside, as with the rest of the updated CT5 range, the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing gets the new 33-inch color LED touchscreen display with Google built-in and an illuminated Cadillac crest visible from the outside of the vehicle.
Under the hood, the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing retains the supercharged 6.2L V8 gasoline engine (production code LT4), rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. A Tremec-sourced six-speed manual transmission is standard, while Cadillac’s ten-speed automatic is optional. Regardless of the transmission, rear-wheel-drive is the sole drivetrain option.
Riding on the luxury marque’s Alpha 2 platform, the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing will begin production on July 15th, 2024 at the Cadillac Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
