The 2025 Cadillac XT6 arrives as a bit of a surprise, as the luxury crossover’s future beyond the 2024 model year seemed shaky until Cadillac Society learned that the XT6 would indeed be offered in North America as a 2025 model after all. Now, we’ve learned exactly when the forthcoming XT6 will begin rolling off the assembly line.
The start of regular production (SORP) of the 2025 Cadillac XT6 is scheduled to begin on July 8th, 2024 at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, where the luxury crossover has been built since its introduction for the 2020 model year. As usual, please keep in mind that the aforementioned date is tentative and therefore subject to change at any time.
The 2025 XT6 is a carryover model, meaning it does not feature any major changes or updates compared to the outgoing 2024 model. That means it retains the same interior and exterior design, and will not be subject to the upcoming refresh that will soon be unveiled for the Chinese market.
The 2025 XT6 will continue offering the Red Accent Package, Blue Accent Package, and Bronze Accent Package that were introduced for the 2024 model year, among a myriad of other options and packages. At the time of this writing, pricing for the forthcoming model or its options has not been revealed, but we don’t expect it to differ much from 2024 XT6 pricing, which starts at $50,190.
The XT6 is offered with two engines. The naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production code LGX), rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, is standard on Premium Luxury and Sport trims. Meanwhile, the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, is available exclusively on the base Luxury trim.

I have a 2024 XT6 Premium Luxury with the Platinum Package and I love it. I had 2 XT5s equipped the same way and loved them both, but the XT6 is so much better. It looks great, it rides beautifully, and is very comfortable. My friends love the Captain’s Chairs in the second row and although the third row is small, I’m sure it will come in handy at some point. The extra luggage space is also appreciated. This is a GREAT SUV/CUV/Whatever, I hope Cadillac continues to build it and make it available in the US.

Ditto to the comments Frank R had, except I have had only 1 XT5 and an old SRX. Really concerned Cadillac is going to miss the boat not updating the XT6, not all of us are ready for EVs. Plus, an EV would take twice as long when travelling to long distances like Florida.
Tough to beat having a loaded-up CUV and getting 25.5 mpg travelling at 78-79 mph most of the way, versus EVs with their range and recharge times, it is just not convenient.
