The 2025 Cadillac CT5 debuted in September 2023 at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), bringing a much-anticipated midcycle refresh to the luxury sedan. Its slew of updates include a reworked front end and overhauled cockpit. Cadillac Society caught up with the refreshed CT5 firsthand and is bringing you this tour in the video below.
Presented by Cadillac Society Executive Editor, Alex Luft, the video gives an in-depth look at the refreshed CT5 Premium Luxury. First up is the redone front end, which is highlighted by a set of brand new headlights. The CT5 now sports an uninterrupted lighting strip on either side of the front fascia, which align the luxury sedan with Cadillac’s latest design language. A view from the side reveals that the strip features “Mondrian”-style graphics, similar to the Caddy crest itself.
Meanwhile, the forward-facing headlights are arranged in a vertical setup, with the low beam positioned atop of the high beam. A horizontal lighting signature, which houses the turn signal on either side of the front fascia, branches from the corner of the outermost lighting strip toward the grille.
The profile of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 stays the same, as does the rear, because it was refreshed, not overhauled. Now, the bigger news is inside the cockpit, where the CT5 now features a massive curved screen that runs the width the gauge cluster as well as the center stack display. The screen is lifted directly from the Cadillac Lyriq and refreshed Cadillac XT4. However, despite the substantial update, the buttons and HVAC control panel mounted below the screen are carryovers from the pre-refresh model, with just a small update to the HVAC display readout.
One of the more unique touches gracing the 2025 Cadillac CT5 interior is only visible from outside the vehicle: an illuminated Cadillac crest graces the backside of the curved infotainment display. It can be seen through the windshield when standing directly in front of the vehicle.
Under the hood, the CT5 Premium Luxury and Sport trims carry over the 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY) as standard, which is capable of 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The boosted four is paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission. For $3,500, Premium Luxury trim can be upgraded to the twin-turbo 3.0L V6 engine (production code LGY) which doles out a more potent 335 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque
Production of the 2025 CT5, which rides on the luxury marque’s Alpha 2 platform, was initially scheduled to kick off in April 2024 at the Cadillac Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. However, the start of regular production (SORP) was pushed back and began in May. Because the base Luxury trim level was deleted from the lineup, the forthcoming CT5 has a higher base price than the outgoing model, as the newfound Premium Luxury trim now starts at $48,990.
