Certain 2024 Cadillac XT4 units may have a condition where the hands free power liftgate with the projected logo lamp stops working. Cadillac has released a service update to address the issue.
The problem: affected vehicles will disable the hands free power liftgate without notifying the customer after the vehicle goes into full sleep mode.
The fix: dealers are to reprogram the body control module. This procedure will be performed at no cost to vehicle owners. No part replacements are required, as it is a software fix.
Affected components: hands free power liftgate with projected logo lamp.
Affected vehicles: 2024 Cadillac XT4.
Owners of affected units of the XT4 will be contacted with instructions to create an appointment with their preferred dealer. To find out whether a particular vehicle is affected by this service update, owners may reach out to Cadillac directly using the contact information listed below. It’s important to note that because this is a service update and not a recall, it will expire at the end of the vehicle’s New Limited Vehicle Warranty period.
