Cadillac is gearing up to debut the second-generation 2025 Cadillac XT5, with plans to launch the crossover with all-new styling, inside and out. So far, the next-gen 2025 Cadillac XT5 has been spotted testing as a camo-clad prototype, but now, we’re getting an early look at the overhauled exterior thanks to a series of leaked photos.
Recently posted online by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in China, the photos provide a clear view of the new crossover’s front and rear ends, giving us an unobstructed view of the revamped styling.
This particular 2025 Cadillac XT5 is likely an example of the Luxury trim level, as evidenced by the bright exterior accents, as opposed to the darker accents typically associated with the XT5 Sport.
The front three-quarters view shows us the 2025 XT5’s new face, which incorporates restyled lighting elements with a horizontal lighting signature running along the corner of the fascia under the hood line, and a separate vertical lighting element running down the sides of the fascia, separated by a thin, body-colored strip. The grille includes a complex mesh design with the Caddy badge placed high and center, while lower in the fascia, we see a secondary air intake with a black lower bumper section.
In the profile, we see a set of multi-spoke wheels with a bright finish, while the side windows incorporate further bright trim along the lower edge of the window line and along the C-pillar. The roof rails are also in bright silver.
Moving around the the rear, we see more of the bright trim work on the hatch connecting the tail light clusters, which were reworked with thin horizontal elements and slightly larger vertical elements to create an upside-down L shape. The twin exhaust outlets are integrated with the lower bumper section.
Unfortunately, the latest photo leak does not include images of the overhauled interior, although at this point, we do know the layout will resemble that of the Cadillac XT4 and will include a curved 33-inch LED infotainment screen on the dash, just like that of the Cadillac Lyriq.
Although the Cadillac XT5 was developed specifically for the Chinese market, Cadillac is currently considering a launch in North America as well.
