In early 2023, Cadillac announced intent to pull the veil off three new electric vehicles before the end of the calendar year, revealing the Cadillac Escalade IQ and, more recently, the Cadillac Optiq luxury crossover. Now, the third EV has finally been unveiled, adding the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq to the luxury marque’s electric family.
The Cadillac Vistiq is the fifth EV to join Caddy’s lineup, slotting in above the Cadillac Lyriq and below the Escalade IQ. The luxury marque touts the new luxury electric crossover as being the perfect ride for the modern family.
The 2026 Cadillac Vistiq appears to have proportions similar to the Cadillac XT6 and will feature three seating rows, although its exact dimensions have not yet been revealed. Its profile is more upright than the Lyriq while being more streamlined than the Escalade IQ, and it boasts the luxury marque’s readily recognizable veritical and horizontal lighting signatures up front and out back. Its large front “grille” features a crosshatched LED pattern similar to that of the Lyriq, while its rear hatch features a two-tiered taillight setup. It rides on a set of 22-inch wheels and features flush-mounted door handles.
As for what motivates the new luxury electric crossover, Cadillac says details will be revealed during the 2024 calendar year. However, images of the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq reveal a 600E4 badge out back, which indicates a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with 600 Nm (450 pound-feet) of torque. In the Cadillac Lyriq, that powertrain delivers 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, so it’s safe to assume that the Vistiq will follow suit. Additionally, as evidenced by prototypes spotted earlier this year, the Vistiq could feature rear-wheel steering for enhanced maneuverability.
“Vistiq adds another compelling EV to the Cadillac lineup, reinforcing our commitment to an electric future,” said John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac. “Our brand now has an EV entry in most luxury segments, offering customers a range of choices, and Cadillac EVs will cover most luxury SUV segments across critical global markets in the next two years.”
