Some 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Units Need HVAC Coolant Sensor Harness Fix

Certain units of of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq may have been outfitted with the incorrect HVAC coolant sensor harness, prompting the luxury marque to implement a fix to correct the issue in affected vehicles with a new service update.

Tagged with No. N232414770, the service update only applies to the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq rear-wheel-drive models, and does not affect 2023 model year electric luxury crossovers, or units outfitted with all-wheel-drive. The service update notes that affected vehicles may present with a condition in which the wires leading into the coolant sensor could be stressed at the connector, making them susceptible to breakage.

In order to fix this issue, a dealership technician will adjust the harness clips to prevent stress on the wires. In certain cases, this may require replacement clips. The service must be performed at an authorized Cadillac dealer that meets the EV Readiness Requirements, and can only be carried out by a technician that has completed necessary EV training.

Cadillac estimates that only 557 units of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will need the coolant sensor wiring harness fix.

The 2024 model year represents the second model year of the luxury marque’s first ever all-electric vehicle, introducing a few changes and updates. These include a completely revamped trim level lineup that now includes the brand-new base trim level, called Tech,  before branching into more the more well-equipped Sport 1, Sport 2, Sport 3, Luxury 1, Luxury 2 and Luxury 3 trims. Additionally, as previously reported by Cadillac Society, the forthcoming Cadillac Lyriq-V will offer a performance upgrade over the “regular” Lyriq AWD model

As a reminder, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq continues to ride on the luxury marque’s BEV3 platform, and production takes place at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee for all markets except for China.
