2024 Cadillac Lyriq Announced For Switzerland

The Cadillac Lyriq has already hit North American streets as the luxury marque’s first-ever all-electric vehicle. Now, the luxury electric crossover will launch overseas with Switzerland as its latest destination.

The Lyriq will launch in Switzerland during the 2024 calendar year, bringing the Luxury and Sport trim levels to the European country. It will be available exclusively in an all-wheel-drive configuration, facilitated by a pair of Ultium drive motors, one mounted on the front axle and the other providing power to the rear.  Its Ultium battery pack is rated at 102 kWh, providing enough power for a 5.3 second run from zero to 60 mph and is capable of an estimated 530 kilometers of range, along with 528 horsepower and 610 Nm (450 foot-pounds) of torque.

Inside, the Swiss-market Cadillac Lyriq features the same cabin we’ve come to know and love, including the luxury marque’s signature 33-inch infotainment screen, along with a unique rotary controller, Google built-in connected services, and an AKG Studio 19-speaker audio system with front-row headrest speakers, among other luxurious amenities. The Cadillac Lyriq will be offered in six exterior paint color options in Switzerland, along with two interior colorways.

Pricing for the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will start at CHF 80,000, which is equivalent to roughly $89,695, and deliveries will commence in the Spring 2024. In conjunction with launching the Lyriq, Cadillac will also open an experience center in Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich, dubbed Cadillac City.

The launch of the Lyriq in Switzerland marks the return of Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors, to Europe. Previously, GM pulled out of the European market in 2017 after selling off its Opel-Vauxhall divisions while maintaining a smaller presence with (extremely) low-volume models like the Chevrolet Corvette. The Lyriq’s introduction will be the first time in nearly seven years that GM has offered a mass-market vehicle in the region.
