The healthy increase in Cadillac sales during the third quarter of 2023 continues to extend the marque’s solid performance in the U.S. market, where it has accumulated five consecutive quarters of growth. In fact, the performance represents Cadillac’s 16th consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth, posting its best third-quarter and year-to-date sales since 2019 in the United States. The improvements are thanks to significant improvements in inventory levels and brand image.
Cadillac’s increase during the third quarter was supported by growth in three models. The new Cadillac Lyriq is the most notable of the three thanks to an impressive four-digit increase to 3,018 units, which represents its highest quarterly sales volume to date. The all-electric crossover was able to post these figures on a drastic improvement in production and inventory levels from July to September, helping it mark a significant 124 percent increase compared to the 1,348 deliveries during the second quarter.
It’s also worth highlighting the significant increase experienced by the Cadillac CT5 during the quarter. The luxury sedan once again experienced a solid performance with a notable double-digit increase during the quarter, reinforcing its position, both in the Cadillac’s lineup as well as in the luxury sedan market.
The Cadillac Escalade also saw a year-over-year sales improvement over the combined 9,953 deliveries recorded the year-ago quarter, continuing to establish itself as the manufacturer’s most popular nameplate in the American market.
