The refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 was unveiled just last week, introducing an updated face, an impressive infotainment screen, and a bevy of premium tech and safety features. However, the luxury marque only pulled the cover off the “regular” CT5 range during the reveal at the 2023 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, leaving many to wonder when the high-performance CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing could be revealed. Cadillac Society recently learned that these models will break cover soon.
At the 2023 NAIAS in Detroit, Cadillac Society Executive Editor Alex Luft asked Cadillac chief, John Roth, about when we can expect to see the refreshed Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing. Roth indicated that the high-performance luxury sedans will be revealed in the near future.
“Stay tuned, we have a whole lot more product stories to be told in the months ahead,” Roth replied of the refreshed CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing.
As for what’s in store for the refreshed high-performance luxury sedans, we expect both the CT5-V as well as the CT5-V Blackwing to be treated to the same updates as the “regular” CT5 range. More specifically, this includes updated front fascias, with perhaps the most striking change being applied to the headlights, which now feature a stacked vertical orientation for the LED projectors. The updated headlights also feature a single unbroken accent lighting strip that accentuates its wider, more aggressive grille openings.
The updated cockpit, meanwhile, is highlighted by a 33-inch diagonal LED color touchscreen with a high-definition display pulled straight from the Cadillac Lyriq. This large screen handles infotainment controls while also displaying the luxury sedan’s instrument cluster behind the steering wheel.
We have spied prototypes of both the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and 2025 CT5-V Blackwing, and it looks like the latter will receive the same front fascias as the 2025 CT5 Sport, while the latter will receive different grilles, intakes and front fascia surfacing, while using the same headlamps mentioned above. The rear ends of both performance variants is expected to remain the same.
Production of the refreshed CT5 range, which will continue to ride on the Alpha 2 platform, is expected to commence at the Lansing Grand River plant in Spring 2024.
