2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury 3, Sport 3 Trims Enter Production

The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq brought quite a few small changes to the luxury marque’s first-ever all-electric vehicle, including a completely restructured trim level lineup. As production for the 2024 model year continues at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, the model is becoming more widely available, and now, Cadillac Society has learned that the range-topping variants of the Luxury and Sport trims are finally being assembled and will soon be on their way to customers.

The latest trims to enter production are the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury 3 and Sport 3 trims, which represent the best-equipped models in the lineup. Opting for the “3”-tiered trims adds features such as the Comfort and Security Package, Technology Package and a set of 22-inch wheels, along with AKG Audio and the luxury marque’s semi-autonomous driver assist feature, Super Cruise.

Lower-tiered trims, like the all-new base Tech trim, Luxury 1 and Sport 1 have already been arriving at U.S. dealerships, albeit not in very high volumes. However, it’s unclear at this time whether the mid-tier Luxury 2 and Sport 2 trims have seen production time yet, or if they’re being assembled alongside Luxury 3 and Sport 3.

Every Lyriq trim can outfitted with either a single Ultium Drive motor on the rear axle, or two Ultium Drive motors to facilitate all-wheel-drive. Opting for rear-wheel-drive grants an approximate driving range of 308 miles from a single charge, along with 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. The AWD setup results in 500 total system horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque for a 307 miles of driving range on a single charge.

  1. “However, it’s unclear at this time whether the mid-tier Luxury 2 and Sport 2 trims have seen production time yet, or if they’re being assembled alongside Luxury 3 and Sport 3.”

If Cadillac does NOT also produce the Lux2 and Sport2 trims at least alongside the top trims, it will be yet another slap in the face to those who got in line for the Debut Edition and had their orders “moved” to the 2024 model that most closely matches their original order.

Unfortunately, with a UAW strike in three weeks, it may not matter what GM says it is going to produce since it will probably all change after the strike.

    • My situation is exactly the same as yours Steve. Preordered May 22. Still waiting. Did you get the private offer from Cadillac? If so, how does your dealer intend to apply it?
