The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition models pay homage to a legendary U.S. racetrack, each featuring special details inspired by their respective venues: Watkins Glen, Sebring and Road Atlanta. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Sebring IMSA Edition, and what it offers.
Sebring Raceway is well-known for its 12-hour endurance race that ends in the dark of night, which inspired the super sedan’s Maverick Frost Noir exterior. Grayscale pinstriping adorns the rocker moldings and hood, giving the CT4-V Blackwing Sebring IMSA Edition a sinister demeanor.
As is the case for all three Track Edition models, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Sebring IMSA Edition sports a set of IMSA decals affixed to the front splitter and rear spoiler, paying tribute to the Cadillac Racing prototype supercars that race on the IMSA circuit. Additionally, a subtle V-Series “Mondrian” pattern can be found on the hood, and a silhouette of Sebring’s 17-turn course is affixed to the rear window glass. The model also features Tech Bronze brake calipers to break up the grayscale color scheme.
Inside, the CT4-V Blackwing Sebring IMSA Edition features a choice of two interior colorways: Sky Cool Gray/Jet Black for a cool look, or Signet/Jet Black for a warmer feel. The Signet/Jet Black colorway is exclusive to the Track Editions.
The CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition models do not feature any performance upgrades over the “regular” CT4-V Blackwing, which means they retain the same twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 engine (production code LF4). The boosted six makes 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, and is paired with the luxury marque’s six-speed manual transmission as standard or the 10-speed automatic as an option. The super sedan rides on the luxury marque’s Alpha 2 platform.
Order books for the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition models opened on August 1st 2022, and production for the Sebring-inspired edition began in January 2023. Just 297 units of the special editions will be produced at the Lansing Grand River plant, with only 99 of those being the Sebring IMSA Edition.
