A Closer Look At The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Road Atlanta IMSA Edition

The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition models are themed after one of three U.S. racetracks: Watkins Glen, Sebring and Road Atlanta. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Road Atlanta IMSA Edition and what it offers.

This special edition is painted in Rift Metallic, which has a “porcelain in appearance” that calls to mind the stunning cosmopolitan environment of Road Atlanta and the city of Atlanta itself. Perhaps the element that most striking on this model are the red rocker panels, as they stand out against the ceramic white paint while nicely complementing the gray striping on the rocker molding.

Each of the three Track Edition models have IMSA decals adorning the carbon fiber front splitter and rear spoiler, as well as incorporating the V-Series “Mondrian” logo on the hood and body sides. More red accents can be seen behind the wheels thanks to the Edge Red brake calipers that add “a jolt of adrenaline” to the otherwise soft and calm exterior color. A silhouette of Road Atlanta can be found on the rear window glass in homage to the racetrack that inspired the build.

Inside, the CT4-V Blackwing Road Atlanta IMSA Edition features a choice of two interior colorways. The first is Sky Cool Gray/Jet Black for a more neutral look, while the second is Adrenaline Red/Jet Black for a more exciting “heart-racing” feel. The latter colorway is exclusive to the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Road Atlanta IMSA Edition.

The CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition models do not feature any performance upgrades over the “regular” CT4-V Blackwing, which means they retain the same twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 engine (production code LF4). The boosted six makes 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, and is paired with the luxury marque’s six-speed manual transmission as standard or the 10-speed automatic as an option. The super sedan rides on the luxury marque’s Alpha 2 platform.

Order books for the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition models opened on August 1st 2022, and production for the Road Atlanta IMSA Edition is scheduled to take place at the Lansing Grand River plant from February to March 2023. Just 297 units of the three special editions will be built, 99 of which will be the Road Atlanta model.
