2023 Cadillac Escalade: Here’s The New Argent Silver Metallic Exterior Color

The 2023 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV add three new exterior colors to their palette: Dark Emerald Metallic, Radiant Red Tintcoat, and Argent Silver Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new Silver hue.

Assigned production code GXD and touch-up paint code WA-130H, Argent Silver Metallic is one of nine exterior colors offered on the full-size luxury SUV, which include:

  • Crystal White Tricoat
  • Mahogany Metallic
  • Galactic Gray Metallic
  • Black Raven
  • Sandstone Metallic
  • Dark Moon Blue Metallic
  • Dark Emerald Metallic (new for 2023)
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (new for 2023)
  • Argent Silver Metallic (new for 2023)

The Argent Silver Metallic color is an extra-cost color that adds an additional $625 to the vehicle’s price. It can be combined with all six interior colorways:

  • Jet Black
  • Parchment with Jet Black Accents
  • Brandy with Very Dark Atmosphere Accents
  • Whisper Beige with Jet Black Accents
  • Whisper Beige with Gideon Accents
  • Dark Auburn with Jet Black Accents

The big update for the 2023 model year is the debut of the high-performance 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V, boasting unmatched power and performance thanks to the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine. Output is rated at 682 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 653 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm, launching the luxury marque’s iconic full-size SUV from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. As luck would have it, the Argent Silver Metallic hue is also available on the Escalade-V.

As for the rest of the Cadillac Escalade trim level lineup, engine options include the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, rated at 277 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Both engines connect to Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission.

Per Cadillac’s Y-trim level strategy, six trim levels are on offer, including the base Luxury, followed by Premium Luxury and Premium Luxury Platinum as well as Sport and Sport Platinum, and the new range-topping Escalade-V.

  1. Sure looks like Quick Silver and every other silver GM has offered since 2000.

  2. The word “argent” means “silver,” so the paint color name seems a bit redundant. . .
