2023 Cadillac CT4-V Loses These Three Paint Colors

Minor changes are in store for the Cadillac CT4-V for the 2023 model year, including the deletion of three exterior paint colors previously available on 2022 model year vehicles.

The following three paint colors, which cost extra to equip, have been dropped from the Cadillac CT4-V after the 2022 model year is built out (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Satin Steel Metallic (G9K)
  • Shadow Metallic (GJI)
  • Infrared Tintcoat (GSK)

However, despite losing the three aforementioned exterior paint colors, three new paint colors will be available to order on the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V. They are as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
  • Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
  • Midnight Steel Metallic (GXU)

Each of these three new colors also carries an extra charge.

It should be noted that all of the aforementioned colors are specific to the Cadillac CT4-V and not the range-topping CT4-V Blackwing super sedan.

As a reminder, the Cadillac CT4-V cradles the turbocharged 2.7L I4 engine (production code L3B), tuned to deliver 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. That engine bolts to the luxury marque’s 10-speed automatic transmission, and power can be transferred to either the rear two or all four wheels. Production of the CT4-V takes place alongside the regular CT4 range along with the CT4-V Blackwing at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

The Cadillac CT4-V has been one of the vehicles in the luxury marque’s lineup to be plagued with production bottlenecks and feature constraints due to the ongoing global microchip shortage. Features like the heated steering wheel along with heated and ventilated seats were briefly constrained from the sport-inspired luxury sedan, though they were both recently reintroduced as the microchip shortage situation continues to evolve. Before that, production of the CT4 range as a whole was paused for several weeks.
